Saturday May 26 of Memorial Weekend, it is the Soft Shell Metric Century Bike Ride in Crisfield, MD. Riders can download the registration form here. Jaycees Volunteers will be assigned a Bike Ride Rest Stop serving Gatorade, Peanut Butter Sandwiches and granola bars etc. Its going to be a fun event. Contact President Mike to sign up. See you there! PS We're also recruiting volunteers now for the Chicken Festival: June 15-16. We're cooking Delmarvalous BBQ Chicken at The Centre at Salisbury Mall!! Ooh la la! The Salisbury Jaycees recently took a culinary trip to Paris courtesy of Salisbury University’s annual French dinner.
The all-you-can-eat menu included rosemary rotisserie chicken, Coquille St. Jacques (scallops and shrimp), grilled steak Diane, vegan cassoulet, French rice, red roasted potatoes, spinach and herb soufflé, French beans in shallot butter, baguettes, croissants, chocolate mousse, cream horns and butter cake. While sampling these French delicacies, chapter members and others were entertained by the Stereo Strings, a duo led by accordionist Lou Coppola, who has performed for nine U.S. presidents including former Jaycee John F. Kennedy.
