State Involvement - To provide opportunites to Jaycees to participate in activites on the State, National, and International Level

Around and About Maryland ... and Beyond!

Hagerstown Crab FeedEver consume your weight in crabs? Serve raw oysters to the masses? Feast on beef with 100 of your closest friends? Through the State Involvement area of the Salisbury Jaycees, you can do all that while touring the great state of Maryland and meeting some of its most unique and notable young leaders!

Laurel-Burtonsville Fireworks Each year, local Jaycee volunteers have the oportunity to travel throughout the state to visit other chapters and often assist with events in their area. Past trips have allowed members to serve oysters with the Annapolis Jaycees at the Maryland Seafood Festival, load up on all-you-can-eat crabs at the annual Hagerstown Jaycees Crab Feast, serve beer with the Towson Jaycees during the Towson Town Spring Festival and operate games at that chapter’s annual bull roast, help the Gaithersburg-Germantown Jaycees operate the Biergarten during Germantown Oktoberfest and serve up fried macaroni and cheese with the Jaycees of Cecil County during the Cecil County Fair.

Camden Yards
Through State Involvement, members of the Salisbury Jaycees can network with other Jaycees throughout Maryland during chapter visitations and state conventions. State Involvement also allows members to participate in events such as the annual Wine on the Beach Festival in Ocean City, run by the Maryland JCI Senate, and state trips to venues such as Oriole Park at Camden Yards to take in a ballgame. In the past 70 years, members have made friends, formed professional partnerships and even met their spouses through state Jaycee involvement.

St. Louis National Convention

Nationally, chapter members have the opportunity to take advantage of conventions held annually by the U.S. Junior Chamber in different parts of the United States.

Jaycee Creed

The Jaycee Creed

We Believe...
That faith in God gives
meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man
transcends the sovereignty
of nations;
That economic justice
can best be won
by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws
rather than of men;
That Earth's great treasure
lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity
is the best work of life.
